Product overview

The closer a shape gets to a sphere, the lower its surface-to-volume ratio — which is why a block sublimes far more slowly than the same weight in pellets. On long air-cargo lanes (Istanbul–Shanghai, Istanbul–Houston) blocks form the cold core of the ice load while pellets only fill the gaps.

HMA cuts blocks to the thickness you need: we grid them to your pallet geometry and build a single cold core inside the thermal blanket.

Where it is used

Intercontinental export

Works as the cold core under a thermal blanket on 96–120 hour air-cargo lanes.

Cold room back-up

An emergency cold battery that saves stock during a cold room failure or an inventory stop.

Industrial shrink fitting

A bed of slices for cooling parts homogeneously before interference fits.

Advantages

  • Longest endurance per kilogram
  • Up to 65% less sublimation together with a thermal blanket
  • Custom slicing to your pallet geometry
  • Export delivery with UN 1845 declaration
